A New Challenge for 2020 - Women's Self-Defense

The beginning of a new year brings about a lot of thoughts.  Reflecting on the past year - the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, the wins, the losses; and also looking optimistically at the next year - what's next, how will I improve, what will I do different.

Maybe this year we should ask, "What am I capable of?".  To learn what we're capable of, we have to step out of our comfort zone and try new things.  Pushing ourselves to jump in to something new and taking that on.  It's not always easy, but it's what is required to find true growth.

This year at Mission MMA and Fitness, we are starting 2020 with a new challenge to help ignite that growth mindset of our Chicago community.  Our goal is to raise awareness through martial arts about the importance of knowing your surroundings, being attentive and having some basic skills to remove yourself from potential harm.

Every Saturday in January and February of 2020, we have 4 highly-experienced coaches that are offering their expertise to teach the fundamentals of self-defense and environmental awareness to women in our community.  This is FREE to any females in Chicago that are interested in learning basic skills/techniques that could potentially keep them safe or help to avoid conflicts.  Again, that is four coaches with approximately 80 years or experience between them that are offering their time, knowledge and abilities for FREE!  

Let's work together in 2020 to help keep ourselves and our community safer and challenge ourselves to be better version of ourself in the next year!
